Mike Elliot relocated to Grand Forks from Prince Edward Island to be with his fianc? over a decade ago. Having worked on restoring canoes as a hobby for years, Mike decided to open Kettle River Canoes in 2003. Strategically located on Grand Fork's Central Avenue (also Highway 3) the majority of clientele from across BC learned about Kettle River Canoes by driving by. Using mostly hand tools and techniques over 100 years old, Kettle River Canoes has now expanded into a new shop nearby in order to meet demand. Mike recently delivered a beautifully restored canoe from the 1920's back to its home.
