Identifying the need to supply and service the area's elderly population, Endre Lillejord made the decision to invest in Castlegar. Mr. Lillejord located the ideal property for Castlewood Village in Castlegar. Kootenay Credit Union was utilized for financing and the City of Castlegar ensured investment arrangements were dealt with in a timely manner.
